E-commerce will become more of a norm across the region, while the market for cloud services in the Middle East will exceed $1 billion in 2016

Virtual reality, e-commerce, hybrid cloud services and music usage rights are four promising areas for growth in the Middle East and North Africa in 2016, according to Deloitte’s recent TMT predictions. In its fourth release relevant to the MENA region, Deloitte forecasts that video games will continue to drive most MENA revenues from virtual reality (VR) devices and services in 2016, expected to grow three-fold by 2020, with corporate VR solutions a budding favorable market. E-commerce will become more of a norm across the region, while the market for cloud services in the Middle East will exceed $1 billion in 2016. Collection societies licensing music, virtually non-existent in the Middle East, are also expected to grow this year as well.
